Tuuli From

Tuuli From is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Helsinki. Her research critically explores how educational policies and ideologies are negotiated and enacted in the everyday practices of schools.

Grounded in the sociology of education, policy studies, sociolinguistics, and critical geography, From’s interdisciplinary work centres on two core themes: 1) the analysis of language policies and ideologies as mechanisms of educational governance; 2) spatial and material dimensions of governance in educational settings, particularly through both historical and contemporary forms of school architecture. From is an affiliate of POISED and a member of the DIMISO (Diversity, Multilingualism, and Social Justice in Education) research community at the University of Helsinki.
