Antti Paakkari

Antti Paakkari is an Academy Postdoctoral Researcher at the Tampere University in the Faculty of Education and Culture. He is currently working on questions concerning the relationship of education and technology.

His research takes a critical look at the assemblages of ed-tech and their relationship with the growing influence of private actors in public education. Antti’s background is in Foucauldian analysis of power relations, Deleuze & Guattari’s approaches to assemblages, desire and multiplicities and the analysis of post-Fordist capitalism.

Antti’s current research project (2021-2024) is entitled “Educational technologies and the privatization of public schooling”. He is also part of the VADA research project focusing on new assessment practices in Early Childhood Education.
